Contributed by Anna Goldblatt
If you like dancing and enjoy being in the center of attention on the red-carpet with all the pomp and glitter around, you should not miss this Ballet Ball at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT. The Albano Ballet Company, celebrating its 45th anniversary and the Hill-Stead Museum which is also up for a celebration in its case of 70th anniversary, are coming together for a Ballet Ball on March 18, 2017. This is a unique opportunity to have it all: an evening of dancing, self-guided museum tours, red-carpet photo ops, champagne, ballroom lessons, and more. The Albano dancers will perform the pas-de-deux from L’apres Midi d’un Faune, which was made famous by the Ballets Russes with Vaslav Nijinsky in the main role in 1912, and other selections. The performances by the Albano dancers are choreographed by the company founder Joseph Albano. For more information about this event check here.
