This spectacular evening brings the romance, charm, and essence of Paris to New York, Chicago, San Francisco and more. A thrilling cast and exceptional scenic/projection design transport us from Montmartre to the stages of the great Parisian cabarets of post-war France, featuring 30 of the greatest songs of Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Maurice Chevalier, Josephine Baker, Lucienne Boyer, Charles Trenet, Yves Montand, and more.

Produced by Gil Marsalla & Directo Productions, Paris! The Show is following in the steps of a sold-out 2017 Carnegie Hall performance by the same company, Piaf! Le Spectacle which had returned to NYC in 2018. The cast features the sensational Anne Carrere, who “…can miraculously capture Piaf’s soul and timbre…” as Kevin O’Donnell in the New York Times (1/5/17) wrote about Piaf! The Show.

STORY: Young Françoise, dreaming of becoming a famous Paris artiste, arrives in Montmartre, during the golden age of French cabaret. On her journey, she crosses paths with Edith Piaf, becoming her friend, confidant, and soul mate. Later, she falls for the young Charles Aznavour, a singer living in Pigalle and a romance later blossoms between them, in a city where love conquers all!               BUY TICKETS

Virtuoso guitarist Stephane Wrembel and his band, well known among Jazz Manouche aficionados for their devotion to the oeuvre of the legendary Django Reinhardt, team up with a very special guest Jean-Michel Pilc, piano for two nights of sophisticated and unpredictable music that the musicians are known for.

Django’s celebrated melodies immediately bring to mind fun times at a smoky French café full of happy musicians and cheerful crowds. Wrembel and his band are notorious in recreating the atmosphere. Pilc, a Paris born and self-taught pianist recognized for the depth of interpretation and virtuosity, complements the freewheeling style of gypsy melodies with mysterious piano passages.

Wrembel and his guests are very familiar to New York audiences for the Django-a-Gogo annual guitar festival, Django New Orleans, the most recent appearance here at Joe’s Pub in mid-June 2019 and other engagements in town. Jean-Michel Pilc performs regularly in New York City and is a recognized educator with faculty engagements at NYU, the New School and currently at The Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal.

Reserve your seats for the performances at Joe’s Pub on October 11-12, 2019 here.

Its most alluring treasure, Dia: Beacon, the art and exhibition space that occupies former industrial box-printing facility for Nabisco (National Biscuit Company) factory, is a delight for contemporary art connoisseurs and those who are open to stepping into an unknown territory. Dia: Beacon collection includes paintings, photographs, sculpture, and multi-media works. What strikes the visitors entering the museum are the streams of natural light. Many of the works are site-specific to fit the space and its lighting arrangements in the most artistically productive way. Andy Warhol, Richard Serra, Gerhard Richter and other contemporary masters contributed and created works for Dia installed here for a long-term or permanently. This type of arrangement seems to slow down the passage of time and makes the artwork an integral part of the space itself.

Explore the collection at your own pace or join an informative tour which highlights the works selectively.
